Many of you have been to AFP’s annual conference, where over 6,500 treasury and finance professionals come together every year for the largest event of its kind. But how is FinNext 2018 going to be different, and why should you take the time to attend?
In order to cater to the growing network of FP&A professionals, AFP is launching this inaugural event exclusively for the FP&A community. By creating a more intimate and focused setting, financial planning and analysis experts can have conversations that are uniquely relevant to their profession. This will present an enhanced opportunity for attendees to network with peers in their field and establish valuable and lasting career connections.
Additionally, a variety of interactive learning styles will be featured at the event. For example, a series of Pecha Kucha presentations will limit presenters to 7 minutes and 20 slides, allowing viewers to concisely learn key concepts, and ultimately vote for their favorite one. In the Learning Lab, vendors will have 20 minutes to solve common finance problems that directly impact FP&A professional challenges. Expert Panels and Thought Leadership presenters will offer attendees the opportunity to engage first-hand with role models in their field.
This event will also place a greater emphasis on emerging technologies and other upcoming changes within the field of finance. Attendees will participate in interactive discussions and fully immerse themselves within the conversations that will determine what’s next in FP&A. So if you want to be a part of defining the future of finance, FinNext 2018 is an event you cannot afford to miss. See you in San Francisco.
